Villa D 2008-03-03
Single family house, Stockholm Tyresö
Villa D is situated in the suburb of Stockholm, high above street-level, on a rocky and steep site that overlooks a beautiful surrounding. Two main criteria were considered in the design phase – the client’s wish to access the highest point of the site, and an aim to limit the amount of blasted rock. We chose to design a simple geometry with the main volume that springs off the rock. This resulted in a long narrow rectangular shaped plan, integrated into the rock on one end, cantilevered with an inclined gable on the other, which gave the house a dramatic effect worthy the site. The grey tone of the wooden facade cladding has borrowed the colours of the surrounding nature. The living room is on the 2nd floor with access to a large private terrace.

Villa E 2008-03-03
Single family house, Stockholm Huddinge The idea behind Villa E is that of a house that leaves nature untouched. Supported by legs that gently stand on the hilly terrain, the elevated volume bends itself around the topography. Private areas can be found in each end of the house while common areas are concentrated to the centre. A large roof terrace coveres the house.

Villa RBDVD 2008-03-03
Single family house, Stockholm Saltsjö-Boo This wooden construction is characterized by a simple and clearly defined structure. Having to deal with a rocky site and local regulations, effort was made from the start to turn these conditions into an advantage. A centrally located translucent wall filters daylight through the house, while at night; the integrated lighting becomes a primary source of light. The facades are clad with horizontal larch panel.
