Villa D

Single family house, Stockholm Tyresö Villa D is situated in the suburb of Stockholm, high above street-level, on a rocky and steep site that overlooks a beautiful surrounding. Two main criteria were considered in the design phase – the client’s wish to access the highest point of the site, and an aim to limit the amount of blasted rock. We chose to design a simple geometry with the main volume that springs off the rock. This resulted in a long narrow rectangular shaped plan, integrated into the rock on one end, cantilevered with an inclined gable on the other, which gave the house a dramatic effect worthy the site. The grey tone of the wooden facade cladding has borrowed the colours of the surrounding nature. The living room is on the 2nd floor with access to a large private terrace. Villa E

Single family house, Stockholm Huddinge The idea behind Villa E is that of a house that leaves nature untouched.  Supported by legs that gently stand on the hilly terrain,  the elevated volume  bends itself around the topography. Private areas can be found in each end of the house while common areas are concentrated to the centre. A large roof terrace coveres the house. [jj-ngg-image-list order="sortorder" gallery="3"] ###

Villa RBDVD

Single family house, Stockholm Saltsjö-Boo This wooden construction is characterized by a simple and clearly defined structure. Having to deal with a rocky site and local regulations, effort was made from the start to turn these conditions into an advantage. A centrally located translucent wall filters daylight through the house, while at night; the integrated lighting becomes a primary source of light. The facades are clad with horizontal larch panel. Eco House

Eco House, a s#000000;">ustainable prefabricated house for Willa Nordic

Eco House is a completely new prefabricated house that combines sustainability with a high degree of design. This new type of house has been created for the design aware family who wants to live sustainably for a resonable prize. The villa is made in untreated wood and is constructed with numerous smart solutions without forgettig the tailored design. The house, with the roof included, is entirely made up of untreated wood without paint containing chemicals and has thick isolation in the outer walls and roof to minimize energyloss. We have particualrily taken into account the smart garbage separation system that facilitates recycling every day, and worked with renewable materials and vegetation that cleans the air. An outdoor room, in the form of a prolonged house body on one of the short ends, works as a green room with a pergola covered in vegetation. This vegetation created a lush room inbetween the interior and the outdoors. In pace with the vegetation climbing up the sides of the pergola the character of the house changes and is given a living face clothed with leaves mirroring the season. The outdoor room can also use the solar energy for the heating of the house. Eco House has thought-threw planning that uses the surface efficiently. It is a one and a half floor villa with 3,5 meters from floor to eave. An open planning promotes togetherness while maintaining the possibility for seclusion. The heating comes from exhaust heat pump. A stove placed centrally can also contribute to the heating of the whole house. [jj-ngg-image-list order="sortorder" gallery="1"] ###
