Villa UH1

Villa UH1, Single family house, Stockholm Nacka

The house is conceived as part of the landscape climbing gently up a hilly terrain. An inner courtyard allows for privacy as well as for maximum daylight. The roof is covered with green moss, making the building integrate with the surrounding nature as the boundaries between construction and landscape dissolve. Project developed by Unika Hem Skandinavien AB. Photos by photographer Michael Perlmutter can be viewed#808080;"> here.

Canal Digital

RB Arkitektur was comissioned By Canal Digital Sweden to evaluate new prospective facilities for the company at Gärdet in Stockholm. Our proposition for the disposition of the facilities together with a description of a typical room made it possible for the company to chose the most appropriate facility. Canal Digital thereby got a good foundation for the rent negotiations and agreement draft. A determinent factor during the drawing of the office interior design was the fact that all 100 coworkers sitt in an open landscape. Another important question regarded the posibility for the company to hold big meetings within the own facilities where approximately 80 persons could gather at one time. The Corporate Identity of the company has been integrated into the interior design so that the experience of Canal Digital in the physical facility corresponds to the rest of the marketing communication in TV-commercials and on the internet. The office landscape runs along the faces of the faciliy in order to maximize daylight at the desks. In order to create the best preconditions possible for Canal Digital to work in a office landscape we made sure to make room for 14 silent rooms that are very much used today. The silent rooms come in different sizes and accomodate one workplace, or two to four armchairs. They are situated alog the desks of the open landscape so that all employees can acces one easily. The colors of the interior design are principally made up of Canal Digitals colors black, white and orange.  As a complement to these we have added green and violet which also are a part of the company's Corporate Identity. With the help of the colors it becomes easier to orient oneself within the facility. They have also given distinct identities to the different formations of silent rooms. In the heart of the facility we have placed a light, green and big room. This is where the employees come to take a break from the work, spend time together, eat lunch or grab a cup of coffee. In this big rooms there is a long dining table as well as a lounge area with low armchairs that together provide 50 seats. The room can thereby be used for big meetings and only needs to be complemented with a few chairs. RB Arkitektur was also commissioned to buy all the interior design. Folding Houses

Folding Houses, Residential building, Stockholm, Nacka

What was planned as three apartments became three row houses on this south-facing slope when we were commissioned the design of three residential buildings. Different approaches were used in order to accentuate the individual aspect of each residential unit. Facades are folded, clearly indicating each unit and large dormers leading to a roof terrace have been given different directions in order to allow privacy. Friggebod Kameleont

Kameleont is a friggebod (shed not requiring a building permit) of 15m2 designed by RB Arkitektur. Kameleont can take various shapes and be adjusted to your current environment. The clothed roof bends townwards and forms the wall. The entire exterior  layer thereby becomes maintenance-free. A big glass-section with double doors opens up the front. A translucent roof forms a outdoor room on the terrace in front of the shed. WC, small kithen and shower are located together on one of the short sides to leave place for as much flexibility as possible in the rest of the shed. Kameleont can thereby be used as sauna, shed, summer house, studio, hosuing for an adolecent, office, spa or guest house.
