“The architect Rahel Belatchew Lerdell participates as the only non-French expert in the jury for the French architecture competition Les Totems. The purpose of the competition, which is a cooperation between Skogsindustrierna in Sweden and the sister organization CNDB in France, is to increase the French decision-makers interest for modern wood construction techniques and environmentally friendly construction. The winning constructions will be announced on November 26 in Paris.” (…) “Today as it has become more important to consider the environment wood comes out as the obvious alternative, says Rahel Belatchew Lerdell. In France wood adhesives has long been integrated in constructions, and today one can see how wood is becoming more prominent in different projects. It will be interesting to bring Swedish experience with wood constuction into the jury.”
